The Ultimate Guide to Broadway's Best Bars

When you stay at Cambria Nashville Downtown, you’re just a short walk away from a night of line dancing, bull riding, bar hopping, and honky tonking. As you embark upon an epic night on the town, keep handy this comprehensive guide to Broadway's music venues, hidden gems, and local haunts.
We can’t wait to show y'all around!
The Stage on Broadway
Head down Broadway and you’ll find "Honky Tonk Row" between First and Fifth Avenues. First stop is The Stage on Broadway. Make sure you have your dancing shoes (or boots!) with you because the dance floor is plentiful and the country music is live all night long.

Tootsie's Orchid Lounge
A few doors down, you'll find the iconic Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. For more than 50 years, Tootsie’s has hosted world-class talent and been the starting point for country legends like Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson. Now, it still serves up live music featuring mostly local talent. Check out the "Wall of Fame" while you’re there to see current stars and old favorites who have graced one of Tootsie’s two stages.

The Ryman Auditorium
Speaking of country legends, if you’re visiting Broadway during the day, take some time to step across the way to tour of the
world-famous Ryman Auditorium where Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, and Johnny Cash delighted audiences as part of the Grand Ole Opry. Or you can always catch a concert there — it’s a magical venue to see your favorite artists!

Robert's Western World
If you’re hankering for some old-school country music, head on over to Robert’s Western World. Not only does this divey bar feature traditional country tunes by local artists, it also doubles as a boot shop. Hundreds of pairs of boots surround the dance floor, ready for their new owners. While you’re there act like a local and order a cheeseburger and a pitcher of cold PBR.

John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge
For a quick reprieve from the energy and excitement the Broadway honky tonks, head to the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge near First and Broadway. Make sure to have your selfie stick ready as you’ll see the best view of Nashville’s glowing skyline and the picturesque Cumberland River.

Layla's Bluegrass Inn
Now it’s back to Broadway where you might be ready for a different kind of twang. Walk over to Layla’s Bluegrass Inn where they feature Americana, hillbilly, rockabilly, western, and of course, bluegrass.

Tequila Cowboy
After a few drinks, you’ll definitely want to try the mechanical bull (one of the few left in town) at Tequila Cowboy. If you find mechanical bull riding to be more of a spectator sport, don’t worry — Tequila Cowboy has both country and rock artists on rotation nightly for your enjoyment.

Paradise Trailer Park Resort
One of the most entertaining spots on Broadway is Paradise Park Trailer Resort. It’s a club with a distinctively fun, tongue-in-cheek trailer park vibe. While at Paradise, enjoy your drink while sitting in a lawn chair or leaning on an old pickup truck. Featuring local artists and songwriters, you’ll want to hit the dance floor the moment you walk in!

Dancing Lessons at Wildhorse Saloon
If dancing is REALLY your thing, take a free line dancing class at Wildhorse Saloon. It impressively occupies 66,000 sq. ft. of old warehouse space divided up into three floors. The dance floor, the biggest one in the world, measures in at a whopping 4,982 feet. They keep the party going with country, rock, pop and hip-hop acts.

Other Great Broadway Bars
Nashville likes to keep its honky tonks locally owned, but there are several chains dotting Broadway worth mentioning. Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville features live island music with a Nashville vibe, while Coyote Ugly Saloon lives up to the movie hype. If you’re in the mood for a taste of Memphis, B.B. King’s Blues Club features R&B, jazz, and blues on two stages.
